The annual Canada Day celebration and fireworks display takes place in various locations throughout Halifax and Dartmouth. Get times and details!

Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo Parade ​10:30 am – Parade
2:00 pm – International TattooFun for all ages! Bring the whole family! Celebrate Canada in style – hope to see you there!
Official Halifax Canada Day Opening Ceremony noon – 2:00 pm / Free admission on Canada Day to the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site.  Singing of “O Canada” and FREE Canada Day Cake at 12:30 pm.
Free Concert at Sullivan’s Pond ​2 p.m. – 4 p.m. / Free gazebo concert at Sullivan’s Pond featuring Canadian artists.  Free maple cookies while quantities last.
​Free Concert at the Public Gardens 5:00 pm – 11:30 pm / A FREE Canada Day afternoon concert: Roxy and Underground Soul Sound.  Free maple cookies while quantities last.
Free Convert at Halifax Commons ​5:30 p.m. – 11 p.m. / Don’t miss the FREE Main Event Canada Day Concert featuring Deadmau5 and his revolutionary CUBE 2.1 for the first time ever in Canada.
​Official Halifax Fireworks ​10:00 p.m. / Dewolfe Park, Bedford – Municipal staff may reschedule the fireworks show in the event of rain.
